In Star Fire by Swann, it involves secret government dirty deeds to abduct and manipulate the protagonist Merriweather who has growing supernatural psychic talents.
Merriweather evades his pursuers and is evolving at a rapidly increasing rate because of stress and trauma.
This is a shadow of the Monarch Theta psychic mind control MK program out of MK-ULTRA.
It takes its name from L. Ron Hubbard’s high initiate program in Scientology the Operating Thetan OT game.
It’s clear reading this disturbing novel that Merriweather has Remote Viewing to see USSR super weapon utilizing removed brains of Russian super-psychics preserved floating in space to be unleashed over America; while at the same time the USA has a psychic technology super-weapon to be used against the USSR in the never ending Cold War of that era in the 70’s.
In the book Merriweather has psychic communication with super-psychics and they see no other way but to put the USSR psychic weapon over the hidden USA base in Nebraska, and the USA psychic weapon over the base in USSR.
The psychics unleash both super-weapons and utterly destroy those hidden bases leaving a wake of destruction and contained genocide…
Only Merriweather is left and meets his pursuers who are changed learning WTF they are REALLY involved in to arrest and abduct Merriweather.

Hubbard got all his occult knowledge from Crowley and Parsons to create Dianetics/Scientology later as his cult tied to Naval Intelligence and the CIA from 1947 and the OSS before that in WWII.

Ingo Swann (1933 – 2013), was the world’s foremost psychic. A visionary, an artist, a writer and an emblem of the downtown Greenwich Village Scene in Manhattan New York City scene in the 1970s/80s, Ingo was best known as the father of remote viewing, the ability to see distant events or places through ESP/Extra-Sensory Perception.
He was a pioneer of the out-of-body experience — the act of perceiving the world from a location outside one’s physical body.
In 1973, he viewed Jupiter’s rings, discovering them remotely years before NASA confirmed their existence.
In 1978, Ingo was involved in remote viewing experiments established by the U.S. Army and the CIA in collaboration with the Stanford Research Institute.
This clandestine initiative — code-named Project Stargate — later became the basis for the movie The Men Who Stare at Goats, starring George Clooney and Jeff Bridges.
For Stargate, Ingo and a group of psychics used their abilities to spy on Russia from Palo Alto, California.

Swan’s “Star Fire” is a very disturbing dystopian novel I highly recommend as one Variation of the Idea of Starfire that’s a hidden coded thing that very few people know about for a Reason and WHY.
It’s a popular byword in esoteric occult cliques that are light years from the REAL Starfire that will be in Part 2.
It’s clear that Swann was very familiar with Aleister Crowley and Hubbard in great detail as a very gifted psychic.
He couched his most dangerous psychic knowledge and research in his sci-fi novel Star Fire.

It turned out that psychic events are routinely associated with hypnosis and induced trance states . One study, sorry I forgot the name, at a University, they attempted to hypnotize a person at a distance. The researchers noted strange effects , such as, on one occasion, instead of hypnotizing the intended target who was in an office at the end of the same hallway from the hypnotist, they found that they had hypnotized a secretary in an adjacent office in line from where they were sitting.
I now believe that because scientology routines are create a suggestible hypnotic state, that Psi events might manifgst. However, this is not because of scientology, but because they are associated with hypnotism…and manifested in spite of scientology.
I also believe that there existed a plan, to intentionally make scientology be perceived as a useful tool for remote viewing, as a motive to insert covert intelligence gathering agents (those whose loyalties were controlled by scientology) into foreign countries RV programs and perhaps to boobytrap those programs to be less effective, because it was the hypnosis not the scientology that “worked”, and in scientology, it is also the hypnosis that “works”.
In the book “Psychic Warrior” by an ex military RV guy, named David Morehouse, (Note2) he describes the protocols used at Ft Meade’s RV program, located across the Baltimore Washington Parkway from the NSA. His description of ‘cool down tapes” and more led me to conclude that he was using taped meditation protocols created by the same man that first coined the phrase “Out of Body Experience”, as “OBE:, Mr Robert Monroe. Robert Monroe founded the Monroe Institute in Faber Virginia outside of Charlottesville. Monroe’s technology of binaural beats, emulates Tibetan meditation methods. Meditation done while seated between two of those temple bells. The bells are tuned a few cycles per second different in frequency. When you site between the bells, and whack them both, you get the binuaral beat difference which apparently stimulates the same beat in brain wave frequencies. (Note3) His technique provides what the Tibetan monks were seeking, when they would travel hundreds of miles from monastery to monastery to meditate in front of different sets of bells.. Using Monroe’s tapes one may do this without leaving your home!(Note 4)
Monroe’s tapes create trance. The more advanced tapes create the deepest trances. However, unlike conventional scientology, Robert Monroe was not a psychopath trying to steal your wallet like Hubbard. Which is why Hubbard, called the subconscious by both of the terms: Reactive Mind AND the Bank, because it made getting money out of your Bank account, easy. (note 5)

Remote Viewing is something just about everyone can learn. The US version was developed by Ingo Swann, Russel Targ, Harold Puthoff and others under Stanford Research Institute in the early 70's. You can learn simple remote viewing protocols from books and classes taught from viewers previously in the Army's Stargate project from that time. It takes some discipline to separate what you see with you visualize from your right brain from analytical overlay from your left brain. Under quantum physics theories, all events and thoughts have energy and there is no time in space. That energy exists somewhere in the ether or collective unconscious. That we really don't know. Here's a simplified explanation of the process: In the remote viewing session, you relax your conscious mind through a series of sounds that your mind follows into a theta wave state. A monitor gives a set of random coordinates to the assigned target that the remote viewer will search about for basic information about that target. The target can be anything. Let's say it's LAX airport. The trained remote viewer will connect their thoughts to an imaginary signal line to the target. The viewer follows a set of protocols and then write what they see and feel. They may see for example a control tower, flashing lights, they may sense fumes from aircraft, or crowds of people, they may see uniformed persons. Stargate is the formerly secret CIA remote viewing program that ran for about 20 years. It got ended when a former remote viewer outed them. There’s probably a new secret program that we don’t know about. You can buy the declassified files here: Star Gate Interactive Archive
To answer your question, hell yes it’s real.
None of the people who claim that it’s not scientifically proven were ever part of the program, have never studied or participated in remote viewing. They don’t know a damned thing about it.
You can always find a skeptic to disbelieve the evidence. That’s what skeptics do. They claim to have an open mind and a great intellect and then proceed to ignorantly expound on subjects they haven’t researched and act as though they have the answers. They consider their 30 second trip to Wikipedia as sufficient. Ignore them, they’re just pests.
